Website Backlinks

July 25th, 2010 No comments

Have you ever struggled with getting back links to your website in order to improve the web searches?  I have greatly.

Recently one of my fellow internet markets sent me an email on an idea that the author says works quite well. Basically it is commenting on site blogs or where ever comments are allowed that allows the inclusion of a web address. When you post your comments, make sure they are in-line with the owners post or your comment may get removed.

The following Google search strings will return very specific sites that may fit your needs. Be sure and replace “YOUR KEYWORD” with your own keyword.  Do not change anything else.  Just put the entire string into the Google search line.

site:.com inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.org inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.gov inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”

You should try to find a site where you can place a comment in each of the urls (.com,.org,.edu, and .gov).  From my own experience, you may not find a keyword match on one of them extensions.  Just move on.

Here is the search strings for Expression Engine:

site:.com “powered by expressionengine” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.org “powered by expressionengine” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.edu “powered by expressionengine” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.gov “powered by expressionengine” “YOUR KEYWORD”

And Powered by Blog Engine

site:.com “Powered by BlogEngine.NET”site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.org “Powered by BlogEngine.NET”site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.edu “Powered by BlogEngine.NET”site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.gov “Powered by BlogEngine.NET”site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “YOUR KEYWORD”

I have started using this and found lots of sites for commenting when using the Google search strings.  I still have work to do on the others.

The above may help you in getting back links to your sites.
